Versilube G687 is from ourfamily of general-purpose silicone greases thickened with inorganicfillers for lubrication and insulation, which are resistant tooxidation and thermal degradation. Designed for use as a dielectriccompound on high voltage insulators, G687 reduces the opportunityfor dirt and moisture to create arcing across the insulator. G687prevents the formation of a conducting film of water, therebyeliminating any arc-over under wet conditions. The silicone engulfsand encapsulates any water-borne, hydrophilic particles so that theinsulator remains water repellent even in dusty, highly conductiveatmospheres.

G687 is also an excellent moldrelease and rubber lubricant. The compound may be applied bywiping, brushing, or spraying.
