  The EDIsecure PP 280X PassPrinter is a small, on demand tabletop color PassPrinter, for the quick, high-quality printing of machine readable travel documents, especially in small & medium size applications, embassies and consulates. This printer produces exceptional full-color documents with brilliant contours and clearly defi ned shades by printing at an amazing resolution of up to 4,800 x 1,200 dpi.
  The EDIsecure PP 280X utilizes two separate ink cartridges for black and color ink. Pigmented inks for longer lasting print quality are used. Due to the advanced "smart" printing technology used in the PP 280X, special inkjet paper or other such coatings are no longer required. As a result, almost all existing passport booklets and other offi cial documents can be personalized with excellent print quality.
  The PP 280X integrates all necessary features for high quality personalization. The ePassport printer version comes with an integrated RFID module which allows the operator to print the passport and to write the holders' information into the chip in one step. The printer handles the complete range of ICAO compliant ePassports. It can read and write chips up to 72 KByte at a speed of up to 848 KBit/s and supports ISO/IEC 14443 Type A and B, ISO/IEC 15693 and other standards. The optional camera system enables precise alignment of pre-printed and inkjet-printed data to be within a 0.1 mm tolerance. As a result, passport booklets and other offi cial documents can be personalized with impressive results.
  The PL 60 PassLaminator is a stand-alone closed-booklet passport laminator to increase security and durability of passports by applying holographic overlaminates with custom design. These overlaminates include UV fi lters which extend the lifetime of the passport.
